About the Man...
Gary was born in Norfolk where he still lives with his family. The county is special to Gary and he loves to get back there after working away. Growing up meant being surrounded by music as his parents were great fans of the radio and Sunday evening sing alongs . Back then the artistes were all on vinyl - all the greats.
Later On...
Whilst at high school Gary learnt to play the guitar and was soon playing along to all the current hits and song heard around the house. Forward a few years and Gary now has his own taste and style in music, listening to more contemporary artistes as well as going back to the greats he heard growing up. As time went on his confidence grew and he eventually started his first band. Back then it was rock. After starting a fresh new band with Gary playing rhythm guitar he also became the lead singer, more by accident than design. After experience with different bands he decided it was time to go solo and Gary Leonard Music was born.
Onward, Upward & Country Music.
Gary's career went from strength to strength. Playing clubs and venues around the UK and into Europe. Gary is now one of the most sort after country music singers in the UK, Playing acoustic guitar and editing all his own tracks. Using state of the art show software to run his shows.
One highlight of his career was appearing on stars in their eyes in 1996 as Neil Young.
He has covered many styles of music over the years but country music is where his heart lays. Now a dedicated line dance and modern country artiste he brings a wealth of experience and a real energy to every show he performs.
